Maxima Hi-Test
Maxima Hi-Test is a concentrated octane booster suitable for all types of competition. Hi-Test is a completely organic product containing no metal compounds (lead, manganese or phosphorus). It mixes easily with all gasolines, as well as alcohol and nitro blends. Hi-Test will suppress detonation and pre-ignition by changing the burn rate and raising the autoignition temperature of the fuel-air mixture. Using Hi-Test in gasoline will eliminate knocking combustion and its potentially destructive effects. This will allow higher compression ratios and therefore more power. Hi-Test should be used in concentrations of one to four ounces per gallon of gasoline. One ounce per gallon raises the effective octane number by about four points, depending on the base octane of the gasoline. For racing engines or engines with a very high compression ratio, or very low-quality fuel, a higher concentration of Hi-Test may be required.
